Love the look..In the Navy

In all seriousness, a huge thank you to all those who have served and all who are currently serving for our country! (Including my Dad who was in the Air Force when I was a baby)

The cooler weather has arrived for sure here in "Bean" town. It's about time to purchase a new wool or down coat. I love the option of navy blue over black. Don't most of us already own a slew of black jackets and coats anyway??

Love the look for running....

This post is in support of everyone running the Boston marathon today...My brother in law is going to be running so we are heading into Boston to cheer him on in a few minutes!! I do a little running myself, nothing crazy, but I do enjoy an occasional 5K and run about four days a week! Running keeps me sane and in pretty good shape. It's also efficient when you are tight on time.
Here is a peek at my typical gear for a race. Good Luck to all the runners!! Go Jonnie go!!

1. I start with a warm layering piece before I start a run.
2. Wireless headphones. I am investing in these!! The less cords the better!
3. A tank
4. Sports watch. I love to keep track of my mileage and pace.
5. Water bottle. It's tough to run with water but I once got heat exhaustion and dehyration. I feel panicky if I don't have at least a little water with me. This bottle should clip to a running belt. I may have to try it! I ran a 5K last week with a bottle in hand. It's a pain!
6.  A colorful sports bra for extra support!
7. Fitted lulu lemon running tights.
8. An armband and a great music play list for my phone!
9. I have had good luck with Adidas running sneakers. They seem to be a little wider. I try to replace them every eight months or so! I'm in need of a pair now.

I've also recently downloaded this running app.by Nike.  I love the larger font!

Love the Look

I'm longing for the day I can wear a white short sleeved/sleeveless shirt and sandals...for now I'll dream from my laptop! Have a fabulous weekend. It's amazing how chic a little white t can look isn't it? I've shown it two ways....(links below)

I never really know what I'll wake up inspired by...today it was Paris. I've been designing a space for a client with a pied de terre in Boston that has a sort of Parisian chic inspired concept. You also can't go wrong when wearing classic grey, cream and black tones with lots of texture and beautiful details. Plus that sweater is just adorbs....links below

Love the Look

Hello Loves hope your New Year is off to a fabulous start. Me? Everything is good, especially now that my sick kiddies are on the mend. I've just been busy with the my clients and business which is a great thing. I have lots of amazing "stuff" on the horizon and some photo shoots in the works so def. stay tuned for some sneak peeks and finished shots in the near future. This week's "Love the Look" post is inspired by what I wear to work meetings on a weekly basis. I have to sub out the shoes for boots until April but I'm looking forward to Spring, so I included heels. I also need to find that adorable mini tassel purse Giovanna Battaglia is carrying. She is absolutely a style muse for me right now!! Perfection Giovanna!!

Love the look: Casual Christmas Eve

No need for me to dress up too much tonight but a bit of festive attire is in order, especially my red skinny cords. Here's about what I'll be wearing and drinking! I'm also going to make a little holiday sangria. I adored the look of layering in a tartan plaid shirt with the leopard, but I don't own one and the tartan I liked at J. Crew is sold out! I also love the Hermes belt (don't own one of these either but will be placing one on my pinterest wish list) the brass fox from C Wonder has sort of won me over for now. Love the Look: Emerald

'Tis the season for pretty pieces and shades of green. The look above is all about girlie subtleties and simple layering. Emerald has long been a favorite color, so I was thrilled to hear it's Pantone's color pick for 2013. Here's their thought on Emerald: 

“Lively. Radiant. Lush...A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.”

I couldn't have said it better myself!

I hope you're enjoying my new series "love the look" as much as I'm enjoying devising them for you!! I'm basically drawn to just about anything that's classic with an edge. Rooms, outfits, Men (ha) etc. etc.
I was inspired by the street scene picture, I love how the outfit is thrown off by the leopard. Below is a day and night version. (minus the leopard at night - if you're up for it, a small leopard clutch could work, but I envision it having a bit of a beaded detail)

Day : 1/2/3/4/5/6/7 * pixie or minnie pant from J.Crew pant are fab!
