THANK YOU Terri Sapienza of The Washington Post

{This photo spoke to me on a few levels; not only do I own these socks but I love to brainstorm and sketch out my creative ideas while relaxing in bed.}

THE PHOTO + ART WALL

Eric Cohler - great display on a wall that is often neglected!
I LOVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE AN ART WALL - DESIGNERS WILL DIFFER ON THEIR "RULES OF DISPLAY", I'M USUALLY DRIVEN BY INTUITION NOT DIE HARD RULES. HERE ARE A FEW TIPS TO KEEP IN MIND.

-VARY YOUR PHOTOS FOR INTEREST, EX. CLOSE- UPS, DISTANCE SHOTS, INSIDE, OUTSIDE, BIRDSEYE, LANDSCAPE..ETC. ETC.
-HAVE A METHOD TO YOUR MADNESS - BE SOMEWHAT CONSISTENT WITH THE DISTANCE BETWEEN PHOTOS, EX: 2", 3 + 4" ETC.
-CREATE AN IMPACT - WIMPY ART DISPLAYS FALL FLAT! POWER IS IN NUMBERS + OR SIZE!
- VARY SCALE WHEN DISPLAYING A LARGE QUANTITY OF PHOTOS, ART + OBJECTS
{PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL WITH ANY QUESTIONS, ANYTIME!}

Jennifer Delonge's home - InStyle Magazine
Love this orderly arrangement of family photographs

Mix it up, vary frames, subjects and artwork {the bust adds dimension}

Hartig's home is fun, graphic and never dull
Johnson Hartig's home - L.A. Times

Keep it real - display items that have some personal meaning!
Note the varied scale!
Super model Erin Wasson's home

Group by subject - in this case women were the focus

BEDAZZLED

'Tis the season - I always tell my clients, family + friends that every home { + everybody for that matter} should embrace a touch of glamour....it's irrelevant if you reside in a bungalow on the prairie's of Kansas, a rustic farmhouse in the hills of Vermont or a sky high penthouse overlooking NYC, a bit of sparkle is good for the soul!!
{Images: Elle Decor, December 2008. Photography: Stephen Shore}
Crystal, mirror, mother of pearl, silver, gold, + lucite all add glamour

I adore chunky jewelry {have for years} if you don't own a piece, treat yourself; you'll feel special each time you slip it on. The funkier, the better, in my book. {rings are a great place to start}
from top: Dandi Maestre bracelet, Lydia Courteille rings, Rachel Leigh ring

Perfect in the powder room - Mother of Pearl tile - Daltile

Hobknob vases, leave empty or fill with holiday greens - Mothology

Tord Boontje lighting

Crystal Chandelier - Schonbek

Black and White fashion photography - Steven Meisel
{would love a print of this shot for my bedroom}
Isabella Rossellini, Allure 1991.

love this feminine version

A grouping of these star mirrors would be fabulous....available here
