The Slipper Chair...

Martha Stewart - Slipper Chair - I love this feminine version

As defined in Merriam-Webster: "An armless upholstered chair
with short legs"

The slipper chair was originally used as a small bedroom chair in the early 19th century, since then this compact, versatile staple has been employed by an array of design icons...

David Hicks often used the slipper chair in his work

the "style-icons" slipper chairs
(unfortunately, these are to the trade only - pls. email me for more info.)

Possible options: Billy Baldwin, Elsie Dewolf, The Hadley slipper chair

HOW SWEET....

A collection of my favorite little girl's rooms...
Here's why....
1. Of course, because they are not too matchy-matchy, or thematic
2. They can be tempered-refined (if needed) and lived in for years
3. They're not too sticky
4. They're infused with an array of prints, furniture, forms (not predictable)

LOVE - THE WINDSOR SMITH WAY

I am currently smitten with the work of interior designer, Windsor Smith,
she very creatively crafts homes with a unique, blend of classical and modern elements.
Her designs have a sophisticated air but remain extremely inviting.
Windsor's talents extend beyond interior design, she has also
developed a furniture, rug and fabric line!!

HER WORK

What a statement these red chairs make!

HOW DREAMY IS THIS KITCHEN?

MADONNA

I'M SO TIRED TODAY, BUT IT WAS WELL WORTH IT...MADONNA WAS AMAZING!
Here was her message this year!

Kelly Wearstler - Lee Jofa - Groundworks

My Kravet sales rep dropped by Kelly Wearstler's LeeJofa - Groundworks book.
I love her new toned down palette. It's very refined. I ordered some
memos a few weeks ago, but most of the them haven't arrived...Here's a sample.
As seen in Domino + fabric swatches

I wasn't wild about the bedroom, but I thought
the living room and kitchen were great.
Overall, I'm digging Kelly's new line!

Sora Velvet - Rust Mocha
This fabric is so yummy. It has a price tag to match
at $300+ a yard. yikes.

Edo Linen - Teal

Fuji - Moderne, Teal

*This would look so graphic on a pair of chairs. I might have to present this for a project I am working on!
